SA Olympians

In seeking high-profile support for my program, I met with 3 of the 4 members of South Africa’s historic relay team that won gold in world-record setting fashion in the 4×100 relay in the 2004 Athens Olympic games. I met with Darian Townsend and Roland Schoeman in Phoenix, Arizona, with Lyndon Ferns in Johannesburg, SA, and exchanged correspondence with Ryk Neethling. Each Olympian expressed support for my program, with Townsend saying: “I care deeply about South Africa and its swimming community. This is a very worthy cause.” You can hear more from Darian in my interview with him.
